This is the Biblical moto of the Girls and Boys Friendly Society (GBFS), one of the fastest growing young people societies in Africa, and across the world.
The objectives of Girls Friendly Society are:
- To give praise to God by bringing girls (an boys) to the true fellowship in the church,
- To help girls (and boys) in the knowledge and love of our Lord Jesus Christ
- To help those who because of little knowledge, found themselves involved in bad ways and situations,
- To give girls (and boys) broader knowledge about Holy Scriptures (so as to withstand the hectic arguments that threatens the Christian faith).
The main plan for the future is to grow the Kingdom of God, by creating awareness of Jesus’s love. Members of the association are committed in strengthening the youth ministry by ensuring that by word and deed, they maintain unity through the proclamation of the word of God.

Ms Thembeka Pama, who hails from Johannesburg, and the current President for GBFS in Africa has been elected the World President of the Society from July 2017 till July 2020. She will be commissioned as the World President at the 22nd Triennial World Council of GFS in Middleswan, in Australia, from 11 to 21 July 2017.
We wish to congratulate her on her election and appointment to this most high position and pray God’s blessings on her ministry and leadership, especially over the next 3 years. May she also have a safe journey to down under and enjoy the experience of addressing the nations of the world.
