As the country (South Africa) marked June as Youth month, the church also encourages youth activities, to keep young people active and enjoying church. Parishes around the Diocese of Grahamstown hosted different activities by the youth and for youth.
Starting off the month of June was the fellowship and robbing service of the St Agnes guild members at St Andrew’s Anglican Church in Mdantsane on the 9th of June.
The youngest of these girls is 5-year-old Amvuyele Qoshe and 6-year-old Ayolatha Sola who were also robed this day as oogcashe of the St Agnes Guild. Parish rector, Reverend Mzameli Mndi shared words of wisdom from the book of 1 Corinthians chapter 7 verse 25, where he encouraged these young girls to always remain trustworthy to God, His church, His people everywhere they are.
All East London Central Archdeaconry parishes gathered to witness this service, which was followed by Umjikelo for fundraising.
