South Africa heads to the Polls!

Our brothers and sisters in South Africa head to the voting stations on the 29th of May 2024 and we lift them up in prayer as they exercise this democratic right.

As AYSA, we encourage that all young people take the responsibility in playing their part when it comes to issues of elections in their respective countries. Voting helps bring change as you elect leaders to represent you in your communities and your vote helps hold the government accountable.

We also appreciate the work done by various Dioceses in partnering with the IEC to do voter education and praying for the upcoming elections. Growing the Church has shared a prayer guide to the 2024 elections, we encourage Dioceses to use this resource and pray together as a Province.

Prayers to all South Africans as they head to the polls!

1 Tim 2: 1-3:  I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior.
