Girls and Bafanas Friendly Society One Day Conference (Diocese of Christ the King)

Girls and Bafana Friendly Society in the Diocese of Christ the King held their 1st Mini Conference on the 24th of August 2024 at St Mary Magdalene Church in Sebokeng. The event was graced by the Diocesan Youth Guild, St Agnes; Sunday School; St Mary Magdalene, Bernard Mizeki Men’s Guild and Mother’s Union under the theme of Isaiah 41:10.

Service started with the EEucharist led by Chaplain Rev T. Manene and Rev N. Nondlazi. The Speaker of the day gave a beautiful message to the young people and encouraged them to love Christ and his theme for the day was “Fighting as an underdog”.

There was also competition where young people in the Diocese showcased their talents which is imperative for the development of their self-esteem and confidence. Dedicated and committed members of GBFS were recognised and rewarded with certificates of  appreciation to boost their moral and motivate others to dedicate their lives in the love of Christ and to serve God and his people.

Finally, there was also an awareness on recycling and caring for the environment by the GBFS members from the Chapel of St Mary Magdalene

We are thankful to the GBFS members from the Diocese of Highveld and Free State who came to celebrate the day with us as we grow the Anglican Church of Southern Africa.

Looking forward to more service
