How it started: Preparations towards the launch of GBFS in the Parish of Christ the King, Tembisa began when Mr Reatile Mochochoko visited the Parish as a guest, then met briefly with the Young people who were in attendance on Sundaythe 1st June 2024. That’s when the seed was planted. A subsequent visit was arranged with the leadership of GBFS for a Presentation.

Buildup: As a relationship was established with different GBFS structures, a Revival Service was arranged on 16June2024, Youth Day Celebration. Preacher was Ms Karabo Litabo, GBFS Worship

The Big Day: 01 September 2024 was a truly Blessed Day when The Girls & Boys Friendly Society was officially launched at the Parish of Christ the King. A total of ten Candidates were admitted on the Day. This constitutes three males, six females and one leader.
