Guild of St Mary Magdalene, St Agnes & St Joseph Conference (Diocese of Kimberley&Kuruman)

On the 30th Aug – 01 September 2024, Diocese of Kimberley and Kuruman, Guilds of St Mary Magdalene, St Agnes and St Joseph had their Annual Diocesan Conference. It was hosted by the Archdeaconry of Mahikeng at Signal Hill Multipurpose Hall.

– During the Conference guilders had dramas on bullying and one of the members had an interactive session on different types of bullying.

Prayer and spirituality are also key, as in most parishes, members have Bible sessions during their meetings. Some parishes/archdeaconries have prayer and spirituality leaders.

Overall, the conference was ar resounding success attended by more than 620 members, 20+ MU members, and 6 priests, including newly licensed archdeacon of the Cathedral, Ven T. Hove, who judged the environment competition.

5 Archdeaconries took part in environmental competition, making something out of used papers and plastic. It was a success as we were teaching each other how to take care of our environment, caring for our mother earth, most of all how to reuse, reduce, and recycle

For the first time, school uniform was bought as part of Shoe Box[ Outreach] and donated to four identified learners at the A re Aganeng Primary School.

As part of the Season of Creation, 5 trees were received from the Department of Forestry. Three were planted at the hall, and two donated to the school.
